About Our Department
Patients may present with pain, weakness, poor balance, reduced mobility or difficulty returning to sport and daily activity after trauma, stroke, neurological disease, respiratory illness or surgery. Assessment measures movement, strength, coordination, endurance and functional goals to create a personalised programme. Treatment may include therapeutic exercise, gait and balance work, electrotherapy, dry needling, taping, respiratory training and home-based care, with progress reviewed regularly. The department aims to maximise safe function, prevent avoidable disability and help each person return to a more active, independent life.
