About Our Department
Children may be referred for anxiety, low mood, trauma, behaviour problems, learning difficulty, obsessive symptoms or challenges in social and family life. Assessment uses conversations with the child and caregivers, observation and standardised psychological or educational tools when appropriate. Treatment may include play therapy, cognitive behavioural or trauma-focused therapy, exposure and response prevention, parent-child work, family sessions and practical skill building. The department aims to reduce distress, strengthen resilience and give families clear strategies that support healthy emotional, social and academic development.
