About Our Department
People may seek help for anxiety, low mood, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, behavioural concerns, learning problems or adjustment to illness. Evaluation uses a confidential clinical interview and, where appropriate, standardised psychological or learning assessments to understand needs and strengths. Care may include cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, mindfulness, family work, group sessions or referral within a multidisciplinary team. The department aims to reduce distress, build practical coping skills and help each person function with greater confidence and emotional stability.
