About Our Department
Patients may arrive after an abnormal scan or biopsy, or with a confirmed cancer requiring systemic treatment. Evaluation reviews pathology, imaging, disease stage, general health and relevant blood results so that benefits and risks can be discussed clearly. Treatment may include chemotherapy given intravenously, orally or by injection, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, supportive medicines or palliative care, sometimes combined with surgery or other modalities. The department aims to control disease, manage treatment effects and help each patient maintain the best possible function and quality of life.
